Terms of Service

Last updated: June 6, 2026

These terms cover your use of CoverScore. We’ve kept them plain. By using CoverScore you agree to them.

What CoverScore is

CoverScore gives you an informational readiness score and guidance based on your employee handbook. It is informational guidance only — not legal advice — and you should consult a qualified professional for legal decisions. The CoverScore readiness score is not a regulated insurance or credit score and is not used by any insurer to set your rates.

No guarantee of insurability

A higher score reflects items underwriters commonly look for; it does not guarantee that you will be offered insurance, approved for coverage, or charged any particular price. Insurance decisions are made by insurers, not by CoverScore.

The $499 audit

The optional paid audit is a one-time $499 service: a human-led review of your results with a remediation plan. It is sold where we are cleared to offer it, and it carries the same informational (not legal-advice) nature as the free score.

Acceptable use

Upload only handbooks you have the right to share. Don’t misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to break the law.

Limitation of liability

CoverScore is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoverScore is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on its informational guidance.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how to have your data deleted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
